Skilled Visa Subclasses

Temporary Graduate visa (subclass 485)

Temporary Graduate visa allows a recent graduate from an Australian educational institution to stay in Australia temporarily after he/she has finished his/her studies.

Skilled Independent visa (subclass 189)

The Skilled Independent Visa is a points-based visa for skilled workers who are not sponsored by an employer, family member, a state or territory. This is a permanent work visa for individuals who have the required qualifications or skills to fill Australia’s skilled worker shortages.

Skilled Nominated visa (subclass 190)

​Skilled Nominated Visa is a State nominated point based visa which allows the skilled workers, to live and work in Australia as a permanent resident. The applicant is required to complete a skills test and be nominated by a state or territory government.

Skilled Recognition Graduate visa (subclass 476)

Skilled Recognition Graduate Visa is for recent engineering graduates of recognized institution who are younger than 31 years of age. It allows the applicant to gain up to 18 months of skilled work experience.

Skilled Regional (provisional) visa (subclass 489)

Skilled Regional (provisional) visa allows the applicant who is a skilled worker to live and work in regional areas of Australia for up to four years.

Skilled Regional visa (subclass 887)

Skilled Regional Visa is for individuals who have worked at least for one year in specified areas of regional Australia.
